What are your motives for worldbuilding?
- to write a novel
- for the intellectual challenge of scientific exploration
- for philosophical exploration
What’s your genre?
My genre is hard, dark, science fantasy with some nature heroic fantasy in it :
- my magic has a precise set of rules
- i m tackling difficult themes
- there s both wild and human magic in it
- there s, obviously, a heroine
- and nature is going to be a character in itself
What’s the scale of your world?
Basically, I ve got four planets and a space station on my hands. But since I feel like being precise, the setting takes place in :
- the mother station
- the emperor’s city on the planet Scyllkphoe, Theleia
- the wilderness close to the said city
What’s the mood of your world?
there s two worlds in my world, so :
- the mood of the mother station is grim, dark
- the mood of the wilderness is wondrous. But dangerous.
What are your themes?
- a coming of age story
- « good overcoming evil »
- and overcoming the odds
What s your conflict?
My conflicts are going to tacle those philosophical issues :
- the place of man in nature
- there is also going to be some religious/spiritual themes
